King ya es mio...perdon.."nuestro"...a ver cuando repetimos la sesion con vinito...y nos escuchamos unos LPs de mi coleccion..que viva el jazz..el tango, malambo, paso doble, fox trot, mambo, chopin y la zamacueca!!...salud y siga pintando por el bien del mundo, y el suyo sobretodo!!..
I´m Carlos from Lima-Perù in South America,Artist and Jazz Fan. I've chosed the musical theme because of my interest in collecting Jazz Long Plays for nearly 25 years. I`ve used to own more than 500 records chronologically collect. Since my father introduce me to Music - both classic and jazz-. He growned listening to swing big bands of the 30s and 40s and continued until bop and cool of the 50s and 60s. Now I´m 50 and from the age of 10 I focalized my musical feelings in being a jazz fan, despite my tastes in pop or rock suitable to my gener ation, but always penchant to blues. Although I was ineterested in deve- loping my artwork, hence I used to illustrate musicians in my own con- cept a I was 5 or 6....Record Cove-rs were my basis to got into a near ly aproximation of this matter. I also became interested in playing an instrument when i used to beat -more to hit- drum and cymbal of an improvised drumset and was photographed by my parents playing a small plastic saxophone.. But it was until I reached 18, my father bought me a nice ,second-hand silver tenor sax, those who played the parade band musicians. I didn´t really get involved as a musician -though I love music-I didn´t go on as into drawing, painting or recycling things. So this show is my tribute both to music and his great performers along the history of jazz...those I used to learn and know through more than thirty years of my life. I sincerely hope you will enjoy it. You´re welcome and I expect your personal thoughts. This collection has been paint with Acrylic on MDF plates of 0.60 cms.and each one at $ 350.00.
